BACP REGISTERED COUNSELLOR (MBACP)
About Stuart
I’m Stuart Watkins, a BACP Registered Counsellor. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is happening in your life.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, life changes, or simply feeling stuck or unsure of the way forward.
I offer face-to-face counselling from my practice in Fife, as well as online counselling throughout the UK.
How Counselling Can Help

Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk openly about what is happening in your life and explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.
Together we can look at difficulties you may be experiencing, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and explore different ways of moving forward.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Sometimes simply having the space to talk, reflect and understand yourself more deeply can make a real difference.

What to Expect
Counselling at Mello Health
Our first session gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to get from our work together.
There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready. We can work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and the direction of counselling can develop naturally as we explore what matters to you.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are available face-to-face from my practice in Fife or online throughout the UK.
What Can We Talk About?
Whatever is important to you
There is no right or wrong reason to come to counselling. You may be dealing with something specific, or you may simply have a sense that something in your life does not feel quite right.
People come to counselling for many different reasons, including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, difficult experiences, life changes, low self-esteem or feeling stuck.
You do not need to have everything worked out before you come. We can begin with whatever is happening for you now and explore it together.

My Approach to Counselling
Working together at your pace
My approach is based on the belief that you are the person who knows your own life best. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you as we explore what is happening and what may help you move forward.
I work in a warm, supportive and non-judgemental way, giving you space to talk openly and make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Where it feels appropriate, I can also draw on EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) as part of our work together, but this is always discussed with you and guided by what feels right for you.
Face-to-Face or Online Counselling
Choose the way that works best for you
I offer face-to-face counselling from my practice in Fife, where you can talk in a comfortable, private and welcoming space.
Online counselling is also available throughout the UK, giving you the flexibility to have your sessions from your own home or another private place where you feel comfortable.
Whichever option you choose, the counselling itself works in the same way. We have the same time and space to talk, explore what is happening for you and work together at your own pace.
You can also move between face-to-face and online sessions if your circumstances change.
